We walk the talk
TUM is committed to a sustainable future and is sending out a clear signal with the TUM Sustainability Day on June 12, 2024: We aim to walk our talk! We activated the resources of our entire university community in the area of sustainability because we can only achieve our sustainability goals together.
What to expect
Program
The main hall of the Mechanical Engineering building in Garching will be transformed into a sustainability fair, our Market of Opportunities. Get to know more than 100 initiatives of the entire university community and associated partners in all fields of sustainability:

Information on the individual exhibitors will follow in the next few days.
President Thomas F. Hofmann will present the status report on the sustainability transformation of our university. You can also look forward to inspiring keynotes by
- Prof. Dr. Sarah Billington from Stanford University on the role of universities shaping sustainable development and
- Isabella Hennessen, who, as a student representative, will talk about the role of students as "agents of change."
An extensive and interactive program with over 50 workshops, panel discussions, and various lectures awaits you. Here, you can dive deeper into different sustainability topics and actively participate in the discussions.

Taskforce Sustainable Campus Development, Head of the TUM Sustainability Office, Student Representatives -
02:30 – 04:15 pm: Clean Tech Hub Launch and Clean Tech Innovation Sprint 2024 Award Ceremony: Teams of students developed solutions for specific sustainability challenges within a week. The winning teams present their solutions at the TUM Sustainability Day.

05:00 – 06:00 pm: TUM Speakers Series mit Nico Rosberg

Moderated by Prof. Dr. Werner Lang, Vice President Sustainable Transformation, our deans of TUM will discuss and reflect on sustainability in research and teaching and what we can take away from the experiences of the TUM Sustainability Day.
What would a festival be without a closing party? Organized by the student council of BauGeoUmwelt and Mechanical Engineering, we will end the day together at the bar or on the dance floor.
